How much margarita mix and tequila do I need?

Each bottle of margarita mix makes about 75 drinks of 8 ounces and takes 1½ to 2 bottles (1.75 liter) of tequila. We bring the machine and the mix; you bring the tequila and the water.

The low end uses our standard recipe (1½ bottles per mix). The high end is our heavy hitter recipe (2 bottles per mix).
The two margarita recipes
Standard margarita (5 gallon jug):
- 1 bottle margarita mix
- 1½ bottles (1.75 liter) tequila
- 3½ gallons water
- Stir well.
Heavy hitter (5 gallon jug):
- 1 bottle margarita mix
- 2 bottles (1.75 liter) tequila
- 3 gallons water
- Stir well.
These work for lime, lemon gold, blue lemon gold, pineapple, peach, and mango margarita mixes. Strawberry margarita uses the same amounts.
Not everyone drinks
Fill one bowl with a margarita and the other with an alcohol-free slushie. Kids and non-drinkers get a frozen drink too, and you buy less tequila.
What if I buy too much mix?
Unopened mixes come back for a full refund when we pick up the machine. Tequila you'll have to keep.
