Two-bowl vs one-bowl frozen drink machine
Two-bowl vs one-bowl margarita machine: compare flavors, crowd size, space, and relative cost, and see why two bowls suit parties with adults and kids together.

In a two-bowl vs one-bowl machine comparison, two bowls win for most parties: you get two flavors at once, such as a margarita and a kids slushie, or the same flavor in both bowls for a crowd favorite. Every machine we rent has two bowls.
Side-by-side comparison
| Two-bowl machine | One-bowl machine | |
|---|---|---|
| Flavors at once | Two, or one flavor in both bowls | One |
| Adults and kids | Margarita in one bowl, slushie in the other | Pick one or rent a second machine |
| Crowd size | One of our machines serves up to 100 guests | Usually better for smaller gatherings |
| Footprint | Wider; needs a sturdy table or rolling cart | Smaller and lighter |
| Variety | Up to six flavors with three machines | One flavor per machine |
| Relative cost | One rental covers two flavors | Lower for a single machine, but two flavors means two machines |
Why two bowls work for parties
- Something for everyone. Pair tart with sweet, tequila with rum, or a margarita with a slushie.
- Kids are included. Every mix is alcohol-free until you add alcohol, so one bowl can be a kids slushie. Label each bowl.
- Double the favorite. Lime margarita was in about 63% of our 2025 orders. For a crowd of lime fans, fill both bowls with lime.
- Room to grow. Rent 2 or 3 machines for up to six flavors. For four or more machines, contact us.

Where a one-bowl machine fits
A single-bowl machine is smaller and lighter, so it can work for a small gathering where everyone wants the same drink and space is tight. The tradeoff is variety: one flavor for everyone, and no way to run a kids slushie beside a margarita without a second machine. At a party with mixed ages or tastes, that usually means a longer line, guests who skip the drink, or a second rental to cover the kids.
Honest tradeoffs of two bowls
- More space. A two-bowl machine is wider and heavier. It needs a sturdy table or our rolling machine cart.
- Its own circuit. It needs a standard 110 volt outlet on a circuit used only by the machine.
- Two batches to plan. Each bowl gets its own batch, so you plan mixes for both flavors. Plan about one mix for every 20 guests.
