Fall festival slushie machine rental tips

A fall festival slushie machine gives a trunk-or-treat or school carnival a bright, cold treat that kids line up for. Plan your event for Oct 23 to 28 or Nov 3 to 20, since our machines are booked out Oct 29 to Nov 2.
Churches, schools, and HOAs across Austin and Central Texas host fall events every year. A frozen drink machine makes your booth the busiest spot on the lot. Here is how to plan one.
Pick your fall festival slushie machine dates
Halloween 2026 falls on Saturday, Oct 31, and our machines are booked out Oct 29 to Nov 2. You still have two good windows:
- Oct 23 to 28. Great for an early trunk-or-treat or a weeknight school event. Online booking needs 2 days' notice, so book as soon as you can.
- Nov 3 to 20. Perfect for a harvest festival, fall carnival, or neighborhood chili cook-off.
Late November is booked out too (Nov 21 to Dec 3), so plan your harvest event before then.
Choose kid-friendly flavors
Every mix is alcohol-free until you add alcohol, so any of our 33 mixes works as a kids slushie. For a kids-only event, skip the alcohol and serve slushies in both bowls. Fall favorites include:
- Cherry Bomb or Cherry for a classic red slushie
- Blue Raspberry for the brightest color on the table
- Green Sour Apple for a spooky green potion
- Orange Dreamsicle or Orange Mango for pumpkin-colored cups
- Fruit Punch or Lemonade for a crowd-pleasing classic
Each machine has two bowls and serves two flavors at once. Pick one red and one blue, or one orange and one green, for a fun color pair. See our flavors page for the full list.
Plan for your crowd
One machine serves up to 100 guests. Bigger events rent 2 or 3 machines, for up to six flavors. For four or more machines, contact us.
Most fruit slushie mixes make about 50 frozen drinks of 8 oz each. If you expect a big crowd, order extra mixes so you don't run out halfway through the event. Extra cups and straws come in packs of 50.
Power, water, and setup
Sort out power and water before the big day.
- Power. Plan for electricity near the booth. At a public park, you need a generator with at least 3,500 watts per outlet.
- Water. Have a garden hose and water source ready when we arrive.
- Surface. We can't set up on rock or gravel. A paved lot, a sidewalk, or a covered pavilion works well.
- Table. Use a sturdy table, or rent our rolling machine cart (one per machine).
The machine needs 2 to 3 hours to freeze the first batch, so schedule delivery well before the gates open. We deliver, set up, and show your volunteers how it works, then pick up and clean the machine after the event.
Run a smooth slushie booth
- Assign two volunteers per shift: one to pour and one to hand out cups and straws.
- Keep a trash can and paper towels close by.
- Post a simple sign with the two flavors.
- Use an ice chest for bottled water and other drinks. We rent ice chests from 120 to 150 quarts.
If parents want a grownup option at an HOA event, put a margarita in one bowl and a slushie in the other. Label each side clearly and keep an adult at the margarita side. For more ways to keep young guests happy, visit our kids slushie party page.
Spread the word
Make a flyer or digital invite for your event with our free party invite maker. Share it in your church bulletin, school newsletter, or HOA group.
