Party themes built around two frozen drinks
Party themes for a two-bowl frozen drink machine: pick colors, two flavors, a rim, decor, games, and printables, plus a kids slushie bowl for every theme.

In this guide
The easiest way to build a party theme is to start with the drinks: a two-bowl frozen drink machine gives you two flavors, so pick a pair that matches your colors, add a rim, and let the decor, food, and games follow. Every theme below includes a kids slushie bowl, because every one of our mixes is alcohol-free until you add alcohol.
Why a two-bowl machine makes theming easy
A frozen drink machine is a natural focal point: guests gather around it, and the colors show through the clear bowls.
Two bowls also solve the biggest planning question: how do you serve adults and kids at the same party? Fill one bowl with a margarita and the other with an alcohol-free slushie, label both, and you are done. For bigger crowds, a second or third machine adds up to six flavors.
Build your theme in six steps
1. Pick two or three colors
Two main colors and one accent keep a table looking planned. Pull them from the occasion (school colors, team colors, a wedding palette) or from the drinks themselves: Strawberry Margarita is pink, Blue Lemon Gold is bright blue, and Green Sour Apple is neon green.
2. Choose two flavors
Match the flavors to the colors and the crowd. Pick one crowd pleaser (Lime Margarita was in about 63% of our 2025 orders) and one flavor that says "theme." Choose from 33 mixes, and see what pairs well in our two-bowl flavor pairings guide.
3. Add a rim
A rim makes a frozen drink feel finished. We sell six, and each 4 oz package rims about 40 drinks:
- Lime Margarita Salt: the classic for lime and citrus margaritas
- Citrus Jalapeño Salt: a little heat for Texas and BBQ themes
- Tajín Classic Seasoning: chili lime for mango, watermelon, and pineapple
- Sweet Heat Cocktail Sugar: sweet with a kick for tropical drinks
- Chocolate Cocktail Sugar: for strawberry, mocha, and kids drinks
- Peppermint Cocktail Sugar: for holiday drinks and kids cups
See our margarita rim guide for rimming tips.
4. Decorate around the machine
Set the machine on a sturdy table or our rolling cart, then dress the space around it: a table runner in your main color, a banner above, and the cups, rims, and garnishes lined up beside it. Keep decor clear of the outlet and the cord.
5. Plan one or two games
One active game and one low key activity is plenty. Make the prize "first refill" or "you pick the next batch."
6. Print the details
A themed invitation sets the tone. Create yours on our party invite page, then print bowl labels, a drink menu card, and any game sheets. Our party tools help with the planning math.

A few planning basics for any theme
- One machine serves up to 100 guests, and one mix serves about 20 guests.
- We deliver and set up 2 to 3 hours before the party. The first batch takes 2 to 3 hours to freeze, and no ice is needed.
- Have a standard 110 volt outlet on its own circuit, a sturdy table, and a garden hose ready when we arrive.
- Book online at least 2 days ahead. Our machines are booked out Oct 29 to Nov 2, 2026, Nov 21 to Dec 3, 2026, and Mar 8 to 16, 2027, so plan around those dates.

Questions
Can one machine cover both adults and kids?
Yes. Each machine has two bowls, so you can fill one with a margarita and one with an alcohol-free slushie. Label both bowls so guests know which is which.
How many machines do I need for a themed party?
One machine serves up to 100 guests. Rent two or three machines for bigger parties or when you want up to six flavors, and contact us about four or more.
Do the mixes contain alcohol?
No. Every mix is alcohol-free until you add alcohol, so any flavor works as a kids slushie. You provide the alcohol for adult bowls.
Which rim works best for kids?
Chocolate Cocktail Sugar and Peppermint Cocktail Sugar are the most kid friendly. Save Tajín, Citrus Jalapeño Salt, and Sweet Heat Cocktail Sugar for the grown ups.
