Kids slushie bar party theme
Plan a kids slushie bar party theme with a two-bowl slushie machine: bright flavors, a candy sugar rim, colorful decor, food, games, and printables for kids.

A kids slushie bar party theme turns a two-bowl slushie machine into the star of the party: two bright flavors like Blue Raspberry and Cherry, a chocolate sugar rim, and rainbow decor. Every mix is alcohol-free until you add alcohol, so the whole machine can belong to the kids.
The look
Bright and bold: rainbow colors, tie dye, or the birthday kid's favorite colors.
- A "Slushie bar" sign over the machine
- Tie dye or rainbow tablecloths
- Balloon clusters in the two slushie colors
- Clear cups so the colors show
- Fun straws: spoon straws, bendy straws, and colored paper straws
- A chalkboard menu listing the flavors
The two bowls
| Option | Bowl 1 | Bowl 2 |
|---|---|---|
| Red and blue | Cherry | Blue Raspberry |
| Sour power | Green Sour Apple | Cherry Bomb |
| Fruity | Watermelon | Strawberry Kiwi |
| Creamy | Orange Dreamsicle | Vanilla |
| Soda shop | Cola | Cherry Limeade |
| Berry blast | Strawberry Banana | Fruit Punch |
Let kids swirl both flavors in one cup for a "tie dye" slushie. See our kids party slushie flavors guide for more favorites.
Kids first, adults optional
Every mix is alcohol-free until you add alcohol, so both bowls stay slushies for the kids. If parents want margaritas, rent a second machine and set it at a separate table with a "21 and up" label. Set the kids machine on a sturdy table or our rolling cart, and have an adult help pour for the little ones.
Rim and garnish
- Chocolate Cocktail Sugar for a candy rim kids love
- Peppermint Cocktail Sugar on Vanilla or Cherry
- Tajín Classic Seasoning on Watermelon for older kids who like chili lime
Toppings bar: gummy worms, sour candy, maraschino cherries, and fruit on a pick. Each 4 oz rim package rims about 40 drinks.
Food ideas
- Pizza, hot dogs, or chicken nuggets
- Fruit kabobs in rainbow order
- Popcorn and pretzels
- Cupcakes frosted in the slushie colors
- A make your own sundae bar
Games and activities
- Slushie taste test: blindfolded kids guess the flavor.
- Color mixing lab: kids guess what color two flavors make before they swirl.
- Freeze dance: stop the music and everyone freezes like a slushie.
- Face painting: paint stripes or stars in the two slushie colors.
- Brain freeze relay: kids walk a short course carrying a full cup without spilling.
Printables

Planning note
Most fruit slushie mixes make about 50 frozen drinks, and one mix serves about 20 guests. Kids often come back for seconds, so consider an extra mix; unopened mixes are refunded at pickup. We set up 2 to 3 hours before the party and need a standard 110 volt outlet on its own circuit and a garden hose. For more kids party planning, see our kids party slushie machine rental page.
