Rules to know before you book

College Station

From the College Station park and pavilion rentals page:

  • Reserve at least seven days ahead. Rentals are first come, first served and aren't held without paperwork and fees.
  • A security deposit is required. Damage or extra cleanup can cost you part or all of it.
  • Cancel in writing at least 10 days ahead for a full refund. Later cancellations lose the deposit or more.
  • Park curfew is 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. Oaks Park closes at 11 p.m.
  • Adults 21 and older may consume alcohol in city parks. If alcohol is served, nothing can be sold without a TABC license, and any sales need a vendor's permit.
  • Bachmann and Central kitchens need a key, picked up from the Central Park office on weekdays.

Bryan

From the Bryan facility rental page and Bryan park rules:

  • Rent a half day (7 a.m. to 2 p.m. or 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.) or a full day.
  • Alcohol is prohibited unless you get an alcohol permit and a pavilion rental. Glass containers are not allowed.
  • A water key deposit is required. Ask for the water key so your hose works.
  • Curfew runs 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Refunds aren't issued for weather.
  • Inflatables need a vendor certified by the Texas Department of Insurance.

Game-day weekends fill up fast

Football weekends in Aggieland bring tailgates and watch parties, so pavilions and machines book early. Reserve your pavilion first, then lock in your machine. See our game day watch party drinks for flavor ideas.

Frozen drink machine tips for a park pavilion

  • Confirm the outlet. The machine needs a standard 110 volt outlet on its own circuit. Ask where the outlet is and keep other appliances off it.
  • No outlet? You need a generator of at least 3,500 watts per outlet. Ask the reservations office whether generators are allowed.
  • Book enough time. We set up 2 to 3 hours before the party, and the first batch takes 2 to 3 hours to freeze. In Bryan, a full day gives you the most room.
  • Have water ready. Bring a garden hose and know where the spigot is.
  • Use a sturdy surface. We can't set up on rock or gravel. Use a sturdy table or add our rolling machine cart.
  • Plan for kids. Every mix is alcohol-free until you add alcohol. Pour Blue Raspberry or Fruit Punch for the kids slushie crowd, and label each bowl.
