Lakeway, Bee Cave, Dripping Springs, and Lake Travis pavilions
Reserve a Lakeway, Bee Cave, Dripping Springs, or Travis County Lake Travis pavilion for a margarita or slushie machine party, with booking and alcohol rules.

For a margarita or slushie machine party west of Austin, you can reserve the Lakeway City Park pavilion, a Bee Cave Central Park pavilion (residents only), the Founders Memorial Park pavilion in Dripping Springs, or a Travis County pavilion on Lake Travis. Travis County bans glass and public alcohol consumption outside approved special events, so the lake parks suit slushie parties best.
Rules change. Confirm power, alcohol, and permit rules with the reservations office before you book. Facts on this page were checked Oct 15, 2026.

How booking works
- Lakeway: book the pavilion or the flag pole picnic area at least 72 hours, or three full business days, ahead. Neither is reservable on federal holidays or during the city's Fourth of July festivities. Large groups hold a cleanup and damage deposit on a credit card.
- Bee Cave: only current Bee Cave residents can reserve, with ID, 10 to 30 days ahead. The city books one pavilion per time slot, and non-residents use the pavilions first come, first served.
- Dripping Springs: submit requests through the city's online reservation system at least 7 days ahead. Staff approve every reservation.
- Travis County: call the Parks Main Desk and leave a message with the park, facility, date, event type, and your contact details. Staff return calls on weekdays.
Rules to know
Lakeway, Bee Cave, and Dripping Springs
- Lakeway: groups of 10 or more need a permit before an event in City Park. Groups over 150 are asked to use the park on weekdays from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The park is open 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. in Daylight Saving Time and 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. in Standard Time.
- Dripping Springs: events expecting more than 50 attendees may need a Special Event Permit.
- Alcohol, glass, sound, and generators: the Lakeway, Bee Cave, and Dripping Springs pages we checked don't address them. Ask the reservations office.
Travis County parks
- Alcohol: public display of alcohol consumption is prohibited except at approved special events limited to adults 21 and older, and alcohol sales are prohibited, per the county park rules.
- Glass: no glass containers anywhere in county parks.
- Generators and music: the county code says generators and amplified music must be off from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m., and excessive noise is not allowed.
- Hours: Mansfield Dam Park is open sunrise to civil twilight, and Bob Wentz Park 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Plan pickup before closing.
Frozen drink machine tips for these parks
- Power: our rule at a public park is a generator of at least 3,500 watts per outlet. Ask the office whether generators are allowed at your site. Read our power guide.
- Water: have a garden hose and water source ready when we arrive. At Bob Wentz Park, ask whether the pavilion sink has a hose connection.
- Shade: a covered pavilion keeps the machine out of direct sun, which helps it stay frozen on hot lake days.
- Surface: Hill Country parks have plenty of rock and gravel, and we can't set up on either. Choose a spot on the pavilion slab or a sturdy table, or add our rolling machine cart.
- Kids: every mix is alcohol-free until you add alcohol, so a Blue Raspberry and Cherry Limeade slushie machine fits the county parks well.
