Rules to know
Round Rock

- Sound: the city noise ordinance applies, and staff may ask you to lower the volume. DJs and live music need approval and are allowed only in designated areas.

Georgetown
- Glass: glass beverage bottles are prohibited in city parks, per the park rules.
- Power strips: prohibited at San Gabriel Park pavilion rentals and at Garey Park.
- Sound: amplified music may need a Park Event Permit. Garey Park allows no live music or amplified sound at pavilions.
- Vehicles: don't drive or park on the grass, even to load or unload.
- Alcohol: the city's pavilion pages don't address it. Ask the parks office.
Williamson County parks
- Glass containers are prohibited, per the county rules.
- Selling alcohol needs written approval from the parks director. Ask about serving it at your pavilion.
- Performers need written approval for amplified sound. Drive only on roads and in parking areas.
- The county rules don't address generators. Ask headquarters.
Frozen drink machine tips for these parks
- Power: our rule at a public park is a generator of at least 3,500 watts per outlet, so ask the office whether generators are allowed. Georgetown bans power strips, so plan one outlet per machine. Read our power guide.
- Timing: we set up 2 to 3 hours before the party, and that time counts against your rental here. Book a window that starts early.
- Water: bring a garden hose and ask whether there's a spigot near your pavilion. None of these pavilion pages list water.
- Surface and shade: we set up on the pavilion's slab or a sturdy table, never on rock or gravel. Since you can't drive on the grass, our rolling machine cart helps.
- Kids: every mix is alcohol-free until you add alcohol, so a slushie bowl works anywhere. Label each bowl.
